77 artists for CowParade

30 Dec, 2009 09:17 AM
A TOTAL of 77 artists and creatives will take part in CowParade Margaret River, to be held from March to June 2010.

For the event, artists will transform 80 life sized fibre glass cows into works of art which will be put on display at regional attractions.

The exhibition will feature the largest collective of WA artists participating in an invitational art event, including Robert Juniper, Len Zuks, Sandra Hill, Voytek Kozlowski, Louise Elscott, Karin Luciano, Margaret River Community Artists, Iona Presentation College, and Jane Martin.

Visitors can collect free maps from local visitor centres to follow the cow trail.

During the event there will be cow-themed events such as gourmet food experiences, adventure races and a Cash Cow Quiz with the chance to win $1000 and tickets to a gala charity auction.

Cow Parade Margaret River is hosted by the Augusta Margaret River Tourism Association and co-ordinated in conjunction with Arts Margaret River, the Augusta Margaret River Shire and the Busselton Shire.
