A NEW look community festival is set to rock the scene.
The local Youth Advisory Council will co-ordinate this year’s Margies Culture Fest on Saturday, December 12, in celebration of the regions cultural diversity.
The YAC group has put together a program aimed at drawing in the whole community.
Veeva Feeva will headline the music, supported by other talented local bands.
In addition to the music, the festival will feature Indonesian dance performances, a theatre performance from the Artzability group, the launch of Hunt for Hardy, a short film depicting stories from local iconic legends, and showcase local arts.
Margies Culture Fest will include the traditional All Ages Skate Comp, skate demonstrations, local market stalls, yoga demonstrations, family activities, competitions, an ice cream van, Zone Room activities and much more.
Hare Krishna curries, vegan food and Yahava Coffee will tempt the taste buds in the lineup of foodstalls.
The YAC would like to hear from other community groups, businesses or individuals keen to set up their own stall and participate.
Be down at the Margaret River Skate Park precinct between 12pm and 6pm Saturday, December 12, to get amongst the action.
The free community festival is drug, alcohol and smoke free.
