MARGARET River Senior High School Leavers got a wake up call as they prepare for their end of year celebrations.
For the first time the St John Ambulance Service Margaret River and Margaret River Fire and Rescue Service crews demonstrated what happens in a rescue operation, with a faux P-plater car crash.
There were also presentations on other issues Leavers may be faced with as they leave school and prepare for the next phase of their lives.
Official Leavers celebrations run from November 24 to 27 and the seminar was aimed at reducing harm, consequences and staying safe during the revelry, as well as providing information about their rights and responsibilities and information about drugs and alcohol.
The Year 12s graduate tomorrow night, with their last day of school this Friday.
