Model aspirations

28 Oct, 2009 01:14 PM
AUGUSTA girl Joella Enders couldn’t believe it when she won the Western Australian division of the Ford Modelling Agency’s Supermodel of the Year competition recently.

She is looking forward to where the competition could take her modelling career, which she hopes to focus on more next year.

The 17-year-old graduated from Margaret River Senior High School last week and thinks she will go on to do a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Western Australia or Curtin University.

“I’m always thinking I could do uni part time and the modelling on the side,” she said.

Although she isn’t sure what she wants to do as a career, writing and fashion are on the list.

“It’s not like it’s needed but it will probably give me more insight.”

She definitely wants to model, especially loving the fashion and travel associated with the job.

“I love clothes, I love shoes, I love bags.

“I’m hoping I can do it (modelling) for the next few years.”

She has heard the fashion industry can be hard, but that hasn’t deterred her.
