The bra bash for research

04 Nov, 2009 10:58 AM
A COLOURFUL line of bras stretched down Farrelly Street last Tuesday when the Margaret River Home and Community Care centre held a breast cancer research fundraiser for Pink Ribbon Day.

For a gold coin donation, guests enjoyed a morning tea and sausage sizzle.

October is international Breast Cancer Month, and the Cancer Council’s Pink Ribbon Day is your chance to help raise money and awareness for all Australian women affected by breast cancer.

One in every nine Australian women will be diagnosed with breast cancer by the age of 85 years.
