Vandals strike CWA

18 Nov, 2009 08:51 AM
SPRAY painting “sorry” on the door after tagging the building doesn’t hold much weight with Margaret River CWA members.

The group’s secretary Lynn Jones, who discovered the graffiti on the Townview Terrace property last week, said it had probably occurred over the weekend.

The vandalism appeared to be the work of teenagers, who had used gold spray cans to desecrate two walls on newly refurbished CWA building before turning their attention to the door.

“It won’t wash off, it will have to be repainted,” Mrs Jones said.

Recently a sign riveted to the fence was also torn down.

The incident has been reported to police, but Mrs Jones along with other members of CWA would like to hear from anyone who may have noticed suspicious gold paint on hands or clothing.

“They should have to come back and get rid of it,” she said.
