AUGUSTA was the place to be on the long weekend with the Whale Song Festival celebrations to mark the return of the Southern Right and Humpback whales to the region. Nine-year-old Maya Robinson of Augusta sang on stage and impressed her audience with a strong voice.
She was asked to sing by community members who had noted her joy in performing.
Deb “Spoons” Perry entertained with her musical spoons act, and later let people try the spoons at her stall.
Calie Szczypior, 9, had a go at the spoons, and said the Australia’s Got Talent finalist was “really good.”
Some people found their fun in purchasing gifts, while others dressed up in crazy costumes.
Children enjoyed the bouncy castle and lucky dip stall.
