Grab a bat girls

IT’S not just boys who play cricket – the local girls will get their chance to start with the MILO in2CRICKET Boy Free Zone.

This free, six-week program introduces girls to the game of cricket through fun, action-packed programs and activities that are for girls only. One centre is starting in Bunbury while another runs 4.30-5.30pm Friday, February 17, at Dunsborough Playing Fields.

All girls aged 10-15 years are invited to attend. The equipment is modified to ensure everyone’s safety. The balls are soft, the bats are light, and the lesson plans have been developed to ensure everyone gets a go.

All the co-ordinators are trained and devoted to ensuring the girls have a fun, safe experience, and enjoy developing social skills, physical fitness, good sportsmanship and basic cricket know-how.
