ON Wednesday at the Margaret River Golf Club the Women played a 4BBB comp. Sue Bloxam and Leonie Bell (35) beat Michelle Bojanich and Allison Kelly (31) to win.
The Wightman Building Company Christmas Cup Ambrose 2s was played on Thursday. Bill Taplin and Matt O’Connell were the winners on 63 nett. Mal Bromley and Dave Glasson came second while Blake Glover and Cody Laskey were third.
The last day of 2011 saw a competition sponsored by Watershed Premium Wines. Tony Byrne won easily with only 70 blows to score 46 points. Brian Carter from Goomalling (41) came second and Dave Benson (37) was third. Next Friday sees the Volunteer Fire Brigades Ambrose 4s fundraiser. To enter, email mrgolf@westnet.com.au.
