OLYMPIC dressage judge Mary Seefield will mark constents in this year’s Margaret River Wine Region Dressage Spectacular.
The event will cater for associate and official classes and freestyle and championship competition at all levels.
Ms Seefried, currently one of 25 Olympic level dressage judges in the world, judged at the 2000 Sydney Olympics, the 2006 World Equestrian Games in Germany, the Asian Games and also SEA Games in Bangkok in 2007.
In 2008, she judged her third World Cup final at ‘s-Hertogenbosch in Holland.
Next year she will judge dressage at the World Equestrian Games in Kentucky.
In over 40 years involvement with equestrian sports she has been chair of the Queensland and national dressage committees, a member of the International Dressage Committee for four years and the Chair of Equestrian Queensland.
She is an FEI appointed dressage course directors.
Currently she is chair of the National Dressage Judges Committee which is charged with policies to do with education of dressage officials.
In 2008 she became the first female president of Equestrian Australia and has been a Board director since 2003.
In 2005 she was the recipient of the Queensland Premiers Award for Services to Sport as well as the winner of the first EFA National Award for Official of the Year in 2006.
Professionally, Mary Seefried has been the Queensland Parliamentary librarian since 2002.
The Margaret River Wine Region Dressage Spectacular will be held over the weekend of November 7 and 8 at the Showgrounds.
