MARGARET River Women’s Golf Classic went Bollywood this year and attracted more than 248 women golfers from all over Western Australia.
In keeping with the Bollywood theme all the girls dressed up for presentations, and the entertainment from the bellydancers was a great hit.
Many exciting and dramatic moments occurred over the weekend under the pall of smoke from the bushfire raging in Gnarabup.
Two holes-in-one were hit on the same day; Beryl Dennis holed out on number eight and Linda Donnelly on number 12, both scoring 1 for 5.
Well done girls.
Their golf balls were duly washed, mounted and presented to the girls at presentations on Sunday night.
The winners of the Ecostar Helicopters sponsored event took off from the 10th fairway on Sunday afternoon, for a very exciting flight over the coast and golf course, (not sure about the stomach churning spiral manoeuvre though Ken).
A huge thank you to all the businesses from all over Margaret River and surrounds, whose generous sponsorship year to year makes this the most sought after and fun event for women golfers in WA, our thanks to you all for your donated prizes, vouchers, accommodation, wine and the fabulous giveaways.
