In very wet and windy conditions and on an oval that was covered by water, the Harvey Bulls were successful in the three grades.

League

Augusta-Mar garet River attacked continuously for the first five minutes of the game but failed to register on the scoreboard.

At the 10-minute mark the Bulls received a free kick deep in their forward line, and Sam Hart kicked their first goal.

Vaughan Colyer kicked a good goal for the Hawks to level the scores.

The tight struggle between the two sides continued around the ground and close to the siren Mitch Reeves goaled to give the Bulls a seven point lead at first change.

With water lying in great puddles all over the ground, contested football became a feature of the game and Sam Hart kicked the only goal for the quarter to give the Bulls a 16 point advantage at the long break.

Play continued in the same pattern in the second half with the Bulls outscoring the Hawks by four goals to one to record a strong victory.
