THE White Elephant Cafe at Gnarabup combines the best of environmentally friendly low rise low impact tourism and thank goodness for that.

Margaret River has a laid-back easy lifestyle and this must be preserved for the future.

In its current form the cafe serves a terrific tourism need, combining eye goggling views that feed the soul and mouth watering delights that satisfy the stomach all without the glitz and glamour of over the top expensive resorts.

The beach house style of the building is a gem and should remain in its current form, in harmony with the natural beauty and peace embracing this beautiful coastline.

Long live the white elephant.
