MARGARET River Chamber of Commerce and Industry president Pauline McLeod of the Margaret River Book Shop was re-elected at last week’s Annual General Meeting, and will see out this role until the 2013 AGM.
Treasurer Alastair Wilkie of Nexus Bookkeeping was also re-elected, while outgoing deputy president Steve Brake of Thompson McRobert Edgeloe has resigned as deputy president and from the chamber executive after nearly 20 years of service on the committee.
He will stay on in a mentor capacity and specifically continue to represent the Chamber on the Perimeter Road project. Peter Griffyn of Webio was elected as deputy president for his first year on the chamber executive. The Chamber thanks current committee members Roz Cummings of Down South Camping & Outdoors, Vanessa Thomson of Darby Park Margaret River and Glenys Buccholz of Vintages Accommodation who have all been re-elected.
It welcomes three new executive committee members: Benji Leggate of The Margaret River Guide, Marilyn Smith of Iris Naturopathic Clinic, and Kim Muste of Thompson McRobert Edgeloe.
