IF you live in or near bush, have trees and shrubs within 20m of your house, have a house built on a slope, or have a bushfire survival plan more than one year old, bushfire is a risk to you and your family.
Local Bushfire Ready facilitator and volunteer bush fire fighter Georgina Thiele will present a practical and informal talk on preparing for and surviving a bushfire in the local district on Friday, January 11 at the Augusta Shire Office from 2.30-4.30pm.
Ms Thiele said developing a survival plan is one aspect to preparing your property in the event of a bushfire, and there are many contingencies that come into play when developing such a plan.
“So come along and get inspired to protect yourself, your family and your assets,” she said.
All are welcome.
