AFTER three consecutive lay-days the Margaret River Pro is back on and surfers seem more competitive than ever after their rest.
Round three and four Women’s heats commenced this morning with interferences-a-plenty.
The highlight so far has been the body slam between Australia’s Sally Fitzgibbons and Laura Enever in round three, which judges eventually deemed Sally’s fault.
"Not a great way to start the morning,” Sally told Jake Patterson in the post-heat interview.
However, she still finished second place on 6.94 points ahead of Enever on 1.25 while Hawaii’s Alana Blanchard won that heat.
Other surfers to win their round three heats include the event’s two-times winner Courtney Conlogue, Coco Ho and Australia’s Tyler Wright.
Round four is currently underway with Stephanie Gilmore's 18.00 points crushing Felicity Palmateer's 7.70 score in the first heat.
