IF locals participating in the Anzac march at 11am today had already been up early for the dawn service, their tiredness didn't show.
People and relevant groups assembled at Reuther Park before marching down the main street towards Memorial Park as enthusiastic onlookers clapped for them.
At Memorial Park, the Remembrance Service was hosted by the Margaret River RSL sub branch in the 98th year since Australian soldiers landed at Gallipoli.
A young girl fainted during the service but was quickly tended to by members of St John Ambulance.
She had been part of the service, standing in uniform for the Margaret River Senior High School Emergency Service Cadets Corps. Cadets took turns to stand in groups of three but despite this the pressure took its toll.
Sherise Brooks of SJA said fainting often happens, unfortunately, when the cadets stand still for a long time in the heat.
"You try to be very respectful and still," she said.
The young girl was fine after waking and the remaining cadets were quickly switched with another group.
