MARGARET River Golf Club hosted the second annual Toro Mixed Irish combined stableford on the weekend.
A small but eager field turned out in teams of four to compete in what is fast becoming a popular competition format.
The day's honours went to Jeff Hedstrom, Helen Priest, Tony Foy and Penny Foy with 102 stableford points.
Just four points behind, in second place, were Di Linfoot, Graeme Linfoot, Denise Warren and Roy Warren on 98 points.
Also on 98 points and rounding out the competition's top three was the team of Mel Larsen, Megan Booth, Cam Lawrence and Craig Dawe.
Difficult conditions were experienced by Thursday's scroungers competition and just two players bettered their handicaps.
The day was won by Nic Taplin on 37 points closely followed John Ritchie on 36 and Dean Taylor on 35.
Dean Kemp's recent hard work on his handicap gave him an inclusion in the 18 and over handicap, in which he also won the longest drive award.
Last week's women's stableford was led in by Rhonda Hearn who blitzed a large field, finishing on 35 points.
Kerry Farrelly came in second on a countback from three others.
In the B-grade tournament Helen Priest shot a 33-point game to win by three over Mary Taylor on 30.
The highlight of the club's week was in last Tuesday's Vet's 9-hole event with Mike Lawson's score of 21.
Robin Lea's 18 points were an honest effort but wasn't a challenge to Lawson's game.
In the nine-hole mixed stableford on Friday, Jim Taylor did just enough for first place with 17 points to beat Val Mowbray by one.
