Paul Nation, 43, was last officially seen on August 20 at BP Woodvale, Perth. He has an English accent, slim build, brown hair, blue eyes, and has distinctive tattoos to both legs. He is believed to be driving a black Mitsubishi Triton, registration number 1DEP122.
His dad Jim told the Mail,“He left work, filled his ute with fuel, and never went home.”
Jim is from the UK and flew over to search for his son. He has traveled through the state in the past few weeks, putting up posters and talking to passersby, but it wasn’t until Karridale last week that he struck a few small clues.
He firstly spoke with managers of a Karridale business who said they’d spotted Paul’s car the week before.
In Augusta, he met a man at a caravan park who was sure he’d seen Paul stop for a shower.
Following this, a woman contacted Jim and said she’d seen Paul at winery in Hamelin Bay. She said he’d spoken with an English accent and stated he was from North Perth. He bought one bottle of wine with cash.
“She said he didn’t seem very happy," Jim said.
Asked why Paul might not be contactable, Jim said, "We just don't know.
"It's not like him. He doesn't do drugs, doesn't drink.
"He was a surfer and he liked his bikes."
Paul has cycled the Cape to Cape Mountain Bike race twice before and was reportedly planning to head down for it again. Jim said if he was hiding in the Margaret River region, it would make sense.
"We're 90 per cent sure he's alive," Jim said.
But we don't know.
Now forced to return home to the UK, Jim can only hope more people will come forward with clues.

Paul’s story has received a phenomenal response from the public after airing on Channel 10’s Wanted program and being published on the YouTube website. There will be an update on Wanted tomorrow night.
Jim thanked everyone who had so kindly helped so far and, asked if he’d like to give a message to Paul, he said, “Yeah – phone me.
“Phone me at home and we can sort it out from there.”
