The 2013 Margaret River International Women's Pro Tour came to an end on Sunday as 17-year-old Estonian wunderkind Anett Kontaveit defeated 23-year-old US player Irina Falconi 6-2 6-4.
The fast paced first set did not allow Falconi to enter the match on her terms and Kontaveit made an early grab at victory.
In the second set Falconi went 4-0 up early but Kontaveit made good use of the corners and prevented Irina from delivering the shot variety for which she is well known.
Kontaveit’s speed and consistency prevailed to win the second set and the match.
