A GNARABUP man is more than determined to find the person who stole his bike, offering a $100,000 reward.
Richard Lowe posted a message on Facebook's Margaret River Buy and Sell page on October 23 advertising the reward.
"My bike was stolen from the break in Gnarabup a few days ago," he told locals who visit the page.
"[There will be] a $100,000 reward for any information that leads to the capture and conviction of the criminal responsible."
His post was met with a mixture of jokes and crime concerns from others, and gathered more than 50 comments.
Asked if his post was serious, Mr Lowe replied: "The reward is correct. I want to find this person."
Mr Lowe does not think he will see his retro-style "beach cruiser" bicycle again, but he is more interested in finding the person who stole it.
"I know it's just a bike, but it was my bike and it sucks that people can do this so blatantly and nothing will ever happen to them.
"I've read on the Margaret River Buy and Sell page about people having stuff stolen, and it seems like a lot."
He was unsure of the bike's value as it was a present from his girlfriend. He said it had been leaning against the side of his house near some bins before it went missing.
Margaret River Police warn locals to keep their property safe, especially bicycles, which have been a huge issue in recent months. People should hide them out of sight at home or lock them up when out and about in town.
