THERE will be no need for crowd control at Friday's two acoustic Cloud Control gigs in Yallingup and Margaret River.
Following a European tour and a recent jaunt to WA on the St Jeromes Laneway Festival tour, Cloud Control are bringing a stripped back session of their latest album, Dream Cave, to the Capes Region as part of a national tour.
On Friday, March 21, they will play Yallingup's Caves House for an early show from 6.30pm before heading to Margaret River's Settlers Tavern for a headline gig from 10pm, and that is just the start of their massive 35-date regional Australian acoustic tour.
After the huge success of their first album Bliss Release, Cloud Control moved to the UK, took stock, set up in a cave in the Kentish countryside and started to work on Dream Cave.
Released last year, Dream Cave is filled with classic songwriting and melody and sees the band cut loose from their roots and embrace a spirit of experimentation. Praise for this exploration has been rolling in by the bucket load, with Dream Cave recently winning the FBi Radio SMAC Award for Record of the Year and being shortlisted for the Australian Music Prize.
To coincide with the acoustic tour, Cloud Control have also just released Dream Cave Unplugged, placing an emphasis on the band's songwriting and harmonies.
