WINTER bowls competitions have started at Margaret River Bowling Club and are open to anyone who wants to play.
Mixed bowls on the club’s new synthetic greens is played Friday, 1pm for 1.30pm start, or Sunday 9.30am for 10am start. Just wear flat soft-soled shoes and bowls are available if you don’t have your own.
Recent results: Friday May 25, 1st Dave Head and Val Wyld, 2nd Leith Bussell and Yvonne Coffey. Friday June 15, 1st Eric Pyatt and Garry George, 2nd Dave Head and Judy Horton, 3rd Pete Imray and John Chadwick. Last Sunday, 1st Gary Smith, 2nd Barry Coffey.
