SPECIALIST wine industry law firm, Finlaysons, is urging Australian winemakers to prepare for challenging vintages amid predictions of volatile climate conditions.
The 20th annual Finlaysons’ Wine Roadshow will deliver practical legal and business advice to Australian winemakers and grapegrowers on Managing Difficult Vintages.
The national seminar series, arriving in Margaret River on August 31, will assist small and medium sized businesses in the wine sector to prepare for, and better handle, the challenges presented by erratic weather patterns.
The Roadshow will tour nationally, visiting nine of Australia’ leading wine districts.
Finlaysons’ wine partner Will Taylor said the 2011 vintage was extremely challenging for Australian grapegrowers and winemakers. “After a difficult year in 2011, the 2012 vintage generally produced very good quality, but was low yielding and presented some significant quality challenges in some areas,” he said.
The Wine Roadshow will feature a panel of four leading experts in viticulture, winemaking and wine law.
