A LARGE contingent from the Margaret River region made up the 230 junior footballers who attended the Dean Kemp Football Academy at Bunbury’s Hay Park and Hands Oval on Wednesday and Thursday last week.
Former West Coast Eagles champion Dean Kemp, who played 12 seasons of AFL football and was a member of the Eagles’ 1992 and 1994 premiership teams, said he was joined by current West Coast Eagles Mark LeCras and Josh Kennedy, Fremantle Dockers Lachie Neal and Alex Forster and Dockers’ ruck coach Matthew ‘Spider’ Burton in offering the juniors advice, tips and demonstrating skills.
He thanked GMF Health Insurance which sponsored the academy and the coaches and club officials from across the South West who also helped.
