MORE than 600 cow onesies are sitting in Cowaramup ready for the town's Deja Moo fair on Saturday.
The community intends to blitz the current world record for the most people dressed up as cows. The record stands at 470.
Those who want to help, as well as feature in a music video to be shot at the event, can attend the fair and purchase their onesie before 9am. Cost will range from $15 to $30.
Event organiser Jill Turton of the Cowaramup Retailers Association said people were welcome to bring their own costume as long as it adhered to the rules.
‘‘It has to be a white outfit with black spots, it’s got to have a hood and it’s got to have ears and they’ve got to have black or white shoes,’’ Ms Turton said.
If dressing in costume is not your thing, there will be a host of other activities on the day, including an auction, live bands, markets, milking demonstrations, calf petting, bouncy castle and gumboot toss.
Activities will be free, but people are welcome to bring a gold coin donation.
"The idea of the day is to have fun, but any money raised will go to the Cowaramup Lions' maintenance of the cows," Ms Turton said.
The town's 42 fibreglass cow sculptures are to be the birthday girls of the event, as the town celebrates the second year of their instalment.
