A COWARAMUP woman is trying to track down the person who secretly delivered a three-course, homemade meal to her kitchen.
Shelley Bessell was mourning the death of her brother-in-law in June, when she returned from town one day and found the food on her kitchen bench and in her fridge.
Pumpkin soup, several rissoles and a fresh batch of blueberry muffins were sitting in containers, ready for Ms Bessell to share with her family.
“In my fridge was a container of soup and it said ‘freshly made’, and the rissoles said ‘can be frozen’” Ms Bessell said.
“It was so, so kind.”
The fact that the person’s cooking ability rates well was an added bonus.
“An absolutely fantastic cook,” Ms Bessell declared.
“This person had skills.”
After phoning about six different friends to ask if they were responsible, Ms Bessell still has no idea who the surprise chef could be.
“It’s been a couple of weeks now and nobody’s said ‘can I have my containers back?’” she said.
She hoped to return the Tupperware and thank the person.
“It’s just nice to know you’ve got beautiful people around,” she said.
“The community is getting bigger but they are no less kind.”
