RAW foodies will be pleased to hear that a local Dunsborough business has been chosen to exhibit at this year’s Margaret River Gourmet Escape.
“I’ve always had a passion for creating good, wholesome food that nourishes the body,” Owner of Siriusly Raw Food Natalie Marsden said.
Siriusly Raw Food offers raw, gluten and grain free products including raw bliss balls and organic breads.
Ms Marsden said she received a phone call two weeks ago from the Gourmet Escape organisers after they had found her business online.
“They asked me to be an exhibitor at this year’s Gourmet Village from November 21 to 23 and of course I said yes,” she said.
Ms Marsden said she was looking forward to being involved in such a prestigious event with world-class chefs and produce.
“I have fond childhood memories watching the cooking shows of my favourite chefs, including Rick Stein – who will be at this year’s event. Meeting these chefs in the flesh is going to be pretty special.”
Ms Marsden who launched her business three years ago when she made the sea change from Perth to Dunsborough said that raw and uncooked foods were rich in nutrients and enzymes.
“Eating as much fresh raw foods in your diet is highly beneficial,” she said.
“I’m really passionate about eating a diet of organic produce so with this in mind, I created a range of organic plant based sweet treats and wholefoods which I supply to shops, cafe’s and wellness centres across Perth and the South West,” she said.
Ms Marsden added she was also is in the middle of launching her online store which is a month away from completion.
“At the moment I am only supplying to WA businesses, so I’m really looking forward to going national,” she said.
“It’s a really exciting time.”
