MARGARET River Montessori School could receive a grant of almost $15,000 if enough community members offer their support in an online competition. The school's wetland restoration and education project is one of four SGIO Community Grant recipients, selected from more than 150 entries, and is now in the running to win the People's Choice Award. If the project receives the most votes, its funding could triple to just under $15,000.If the school does not win but reaches 1000 votes, the funding will double to almost $10,000.Margaret River Montessori principal Lisa Fenton invites the public to help."The work we want to do with the grant money will benefit the whole community," she said.Features of the wetlands project will include installing a sustainable boardwalk and informative signage.Vote at communitygrantsprogram.com.au/margmont before July 31.
