THERE won't be any karate moves on stage, but Perth pop-rock band Arts Martial plan on knocking out any winter blues at their show in Margaret River on Saturday.
The Mail caught up with singer/ guitarist Jarrod Ross to see what punters could expect.
What's the story behind your name?
Gav was living in Europe and he caught it on a sign while cruising around. We had a few name options but Arts Martial just stuck.
Which song are you most looking forward to playing and why?
Our latest single Fruity Loops. It's dreamy and reminds us of summertime we need that at this time of year.
What's it about?
Summer holiday love and holding onto that vibe, even though you know holiday flings never work.
Have you and the boys been up to much lately?
We've been knuckling down writing new tracks for our second album. Had a few band members scattered over the globe so it's taking longer than expected but we're getting there.
We can't wait to get down south, it's been a while and our wine cellar stock is getting low.
Got a message for our readers?
Come to the gig to get involved in some live music. We'll be road testing our new stuff and playing some of the old faves.
See Arts Martial at Settlers Tavern on Saturday from 9.30pm.
