A MAN was seriously injured in a motorbike accident in Margaret River on Wednesday night.
The 26-year-old man was a passenger on a Harley Davidson motorbike, which hit a tree just after 10pm.
The man was airlifted to Royal Perth Hospital by the RAC Rescue Helicopter.
Meanwhile, the 28-year-old male driver of the motorbike received minor injuries and was taken to Margaret River Hospital for treatment.
Margaret River police heard the motorbike revving outside their station on Le Souef Street, before hearing the sound of a crash. Officers believe the motorbike hit the kerb before hitting the small tree.
Local Department of Fire and Emergency Services assisted police until St John’s Ambulance officers arrived.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash and would like to speak to anyone who saw the crash or the motorcycle prior to the accident.
