Lorna Tonks's long journey to the Commonwealth Games podium

Lorna Tonks did not open her eyes in the Commonwealth Games 100 metre breaststroke final until she had half the final lap remaining, and then it was only for one moment to have a quick peak. She saw that she was in a dog fight for the medals and that freaked her out, but she held her nerve and powered over the final metres to win the silver medal.
