MARGARET River Police hope to catch the people who stole a fibreglass cow from Cowaramup recently.
Video footage released this week could be a big help.
The calf was stolen from outside Cowaramup Agencies after 11pm on Monday, July 28. The incident was caught on two CCTV cameras owned by the pharmacy across the road.
Footage shows three people examining the calf, which sits next to a bigger fibreglass cow on the pavement. All people walk away, before two return and lift the calf from its place.
Cameras also captured the culprits as they sat on another fibreglass cow outside the pharmacy and took photographs with a phone. In these moments, it is possible to tell one man has a beard.
Police Constable Jeremy Priest said the video was not very clear, but it was better than nothing. He urged anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or Margaret River Police on 9757 2222.
Cowaramup Agencies' own camera was unfortunately not working on the night.
