TOURISM operators in the Margaret River region can rest assured knowing their interests are in safe hands, judging by a top award made to one of the industry's key promoters this week.
WA's Young Tourism Professional 2014 is Aug usta Margaret River Tour ism Association's Victoria Johnson, who heads up marketing and communications.
Ms Johnson's award is a joint initiative of Tourism WA and the Australian Regional Tourism Net work, and enables her to represent WA in the nat ional awards as well as attend this year's Australian Regional Tourism Convention.
The marketing wiz said she was thrilled to be representing the region and WA.
"This is an exciting professional development opportunity and I'm really looking forward to the convention, as well as presenting as part of the National Young Tourism Professional Awards judging process," Ms Johnson said.
