Quick-thinking staff at a chemist in Kenwick have helped police catch an alleged armed robber, trapping him in the store on Tuesday.
A man with his face covered walked into the chemist on Belmont Road about 12.40pm, police spokeswoman Susan Usher said.
The man allegedly threatened staff with a knife while demanding cash and drugs, but the quick-thinking staff ran from the store and then trapped the man inside until police arrived.
A 31-year-old Thornlie man is scheduled to face Armadale Magistrates Court on Wednesday on one count of armed robbery.
