A grandmother who was critically injured at her Beaconsfield home two days ago has died in hospital on Thursday.

The 58-year-old had been on life support after receiving the injuries in her Carrington Road unit.

Forensic officers and detectives searched the property again on Thursday but still can't determine how she was injured.

Police questioned the woman's 56-year-old partner but he was released without charge.

Major Crime Squad are investigating whether the injuries could have been caused by an existing health issue.

No one has been charged over the woman's death and a post mortem will be done.
