ARTISTS have a chance to win a share of $4500 by creating artworks for sale in the Spring Art Auction.
Artists can submit paintings, photographs or sculptures to the auction, which will raise funds for the purchase of a piece of public art within the Shire of Augusta-Margaret River.
The only requirements are that artwork must work to the theme of Spring, images need to be A4 in size and the base of sculptures must be no more than A4 size.
The submitted pieces will be judged by a panel and prizes awarded before the artworks are auctioned at an exhibition in the foyer of the council offices on Wallcliffe Road.
Shire president Mike Smart said the auction was exciting for both exhibiting artists and art buyers.
"It's no secret that our region is a creative hub and our shire is home to many established and emerging artists," he said.
Primed boards will be supplied to interested artists for their projects with organisers to complete the framing.
