COWARAMUP Bowling Club members have been excited to play on their new synthetic green this year but there is one problem.
The club's numbers are low and there are not enough people to enjoy it.
As the season is set to kick off with the opening day on October 18, Cowaramup club members are inviting as many interested people as possible from any age group.
"If you don't know anything at all about bowls, that's fine, just come and we'll show you," club member Anne Parker said.
"Scroungers is a good way to come and get a feel it's informal and you don't need to be part of a team."
Scroungers games are held Fridays from 5pm.
Bowls are supplied and a qualified coach is available.
Ladies also run social bowls on Wednesday mornings as a way to enjoy exercise and make friends.
For those who happen to uncover a bit of natural flair, there is an opportunity to train for the ladies' pennants team, which plays against Margaret River, Augusta or Dunsborough on Tuesdays.
Corporate bowls will begin on November 5 and businesses can form a team or individuals can simplyturn up and be put into a team.
To get involved with the club in any way, attend the opening day from 1pm or contact Vicki on 0428 573 980 or Anne on 0428 755 565.
