ARTS Margaret River recently received a delivery of a brand new projector to ensure that cinema would still have a place in the town.
Due to Twilight Cinemas finding a new home away from the local area, Arts Margaret River stepped up in a seamless transition so that residents would not be affected by the handover.
In conjunction with Cape Mentelle, the Cultural Centre Cinema aspires to provide locals with year round entertainment with a crisp new image, with the two venues working together to enable minimal feature film overlap.
Along with mainstream films, more art house and international films are promised.
With summer fast approaching, the cinema will be opening the bar in December prior to screenings, as well as offering food options on special occasions.
“We have invested money in the new projector and other technology because people wanted cinema to continue in this town,” Arts Margaret River general manager Hal Martin said.
“I really hope our community supports the new cinema concept to make it viable.”
With films being offered on Friday nights at 7pm and Sunday nights at 6pm, as well as children’s Sunday matinee screenings at 2pm, there’s sure to be something for everyone.
