DEFYING severe weather warnings casting a pall over the weekend, the Balingup and District Tourism Association’s (BADTA) Garden Expo went ahead on Saturday in cool, overcast weather that made perfect conditions for a day in the garden.
The event was held in the picturesque surrounds of Jalbrook Estate, where market stalls were dotted amongst the trees and flowers, surrounding a stage and audience area.
Locals and tourists attended the Expo to hear talks from a variety of experts on composting, bees and many other topics.
Local and visiting businesses created a market full of plants, arts, crafts, fashion and striking garden sculptures.
The serene garden atmosphere and gathering of garden experts made BADTA’s second Garden Expo a successful day.
