TWO local foodies will join forces with Fair Harvest Permaculture for a Margaret River lunch with a difference on Thursday, November 20.
Bliss-fully Local will bring together former TV cook Ian Parmenter and Margaret River Food Producers’ Association’s Katrina Lombardo to create a feast for community members made purely from local produce.
The organisers have made a point in saying this event is exclusive to the local residents.
The menu is being kept under wraps, however there is word that a French inspired soup, Belgian beef dish, middle eastern vegetable fritters, dip and local beer will all be on offer.
TV cook and writer Anna Gare will be popping by as a special guest at the event, known for her appearances on Masterchef and for her work with Mr Parmenter on his ABC TV show Consuming Passions.
Ms Gare will also make an appearance at the Gourmet Village as an MC.
Mr Parmenter is delighted to be able to create an event that is purely for locals at a time when Margaret River is to be set upon by foodies of the world.
“And no dish will cost more than $17,” Mr Parmenter said.
“The Fair Harvest Thursday lunches are presenting real food, simply cooked, which is my own culinary philosophy so at Bliss-fully Local there will be no dusts, foams, smears, and deconstructions… just bloody good food.”
Bookings can be made at Fair Harvest Permaculture on 9758 8319 or email info@fairharvest.com.au.
