Local businesses are joining together with Edwards Wines for an afternoon out for an amazing cause.
On Friday November 28, awareness will be raised about breast care at the local winery, with funds being rallied for the McGrath Foundation and for local family’s who are currently undergoing treatment.
In particular the event will raise awareness through the Breast Intentions Boranup Forest print which is made up of the breasts of 500 locals.
Smaller copies of the print will be made available to purchase while the original will be auctioned off at the event.
Commencing at 4.30pm, the event will run until 7.30pm, featuring pop up stalls, a local DJ playing fun tunes, a photo booth and much more, all while wandering through the beautiful estate.
“Come along, it’s going to be a great afternoon,” organiser Fiona Edwards said.
”It’s a great way to showcase local women’s businesses while raising funds and awareness for cancer research, in particular the McGrath Foundation.”
Breast Care nurses will be in attendance, offering information and support to those who request it.
Featuring local arts, crafts, beauty items, Tupperware and great Christmas selections, the options are endless for gift ideas.
A yoga instructor, herbalist and many more locals will also be on hand to add to the afternoon and to field all health queries.
Local food and wine will also be available to purchase.
Wine for Dudes tour company has also offered the services of one of their buses to transport people to and from the event.
The bus will pick people up at 4.30pm from outside the Margaret River Tourism Bureau and return at 7.30pm.
Contact the company on 0427 774 994 to reserve a place.
All are welcome to attend an Afternoon at Edwards to show support for breast cancer research.
