Trafic is back flowing southbound on the Mitchell Freeway after a vehicle rollover earlier brought things to a standstill.
Nine News reporter Michael Genovese told Radio 6PR that drivers heading south from the northern suburbs should avoid the freeway if possible.
"According to DFES a person was trapped in the vehicle for half an hour. They are now free." Genovese said.
"Secondary to that traffic is at an absolute standstill. It's down to one lane from just north of Erindale Road. I'm standing on the overpass at Reid Highway and can see as far as Warwick Road and it's a car park."
But Genovese reportedly shortly after 11.30am that all three lanes were open and traffic was back moving.
Emergency crews, including St John Ambulance and firefighters attended the scene.
