A motorcyclist has died after hitting a power pole in Bunbury.
The 27-year-old male rider was travelling south-west along Leschenault Drive, Vittoria, about 4.40pm when the accident happened.
Police said the silver Yamaha was at a level railway crossing when the rider lost control and slid to the other side of the road up the verge.
The rider fell from his motorcycle and collided with the power pole.
Police said he was wearing a helmet at the time.
Unsuccessful attempts were made to revive him at the scene.
Police are asking anyone with information or who may have seen the motorcycle prior to the crash to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
