THIS year’s Western Australian Circus Festival promises to be edgier than ever, with star performers flying in from across the globe.
Each performer brings with them a unique style, whether it involves ninja themed juggling all the way to angelic aerials and everything in between.
With over 70 performers, some of these will be making an appearance in the International Superstars cabaret show, featuring gold and silver award winners from some of the most prestigious competitions in the world.
There are many new acts this year that should undoubtedly be kept an eye on.
One of these is an artist who joins street dance inspiration with the impressive acrobatics that circus has to offer from the top of an 18 foot pole.
There will be duos presenting their skills of hand to hand in a simple, natural way, along with an artist all the way from Finland, winner of multiple international awards for highly skilled hand balancing, slack wire and cloud swing performances.
They’ve also imported from Switzerland a couple who harmonize their skills on straps, swinging trapeze and juggling to create dynamic routines.
To make the event even more cutting edge, the circus has expanded and built extra venues, including a double decker bus bar, music amphitheatre, as well as hosting the tallest, longest high wire in Australia.

The Western Australian Circus Festival will be held in Karridale from January 24-26.
