A 36-year-old Butler man has been charged with a string of offences by police after a high-speed chase through the northern suburbs on Saturday afternoon.
Police allege they tried to stop the man on Marmion Avenue, Merriwa, before he sped off, travelling down a number of streets.
The driver was arrested after the car crashed into a concrete kerb on Marmion Avenue, Padbury, losing one of its tyres.
Police allege the car was unlicensed, had false number plates and that a substance believed to methylamphetamine, a replica firearm, knuckle dusters, and an amount of cash were found in the vehicle.
The man was charged by police with failing to stop, reckless driving, driving an unlicensed vehicle and driving a vehicle with a number plate not issued to that vehicle.
Joondalup police have charged him with possession of drugs with the intent to sell or supply, possession of a prohibited weapon and a controlled weapon, having possession to both weapons and illegal drugs, and possession of stolen orunlawfully obtained property.
He was refused bail and is due to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court on December 21.
