COMMUNITY member Jody Busby created the Margaret River Pay it Forward group on Facebook last Thursday.
By Friday night she had 117 members and a myriad of posts offering items such as free clothes, a pram, a nappy bag, blankets and phone chargers.
I just wanted a way to be able to give back to people and to help others give as well.

By contrast to the popular Margaret River Buy and Sell page, Ms Busby said no items were allowed to be sold in her group, only given away.
"I went through a hard time around this time last year and the community really helped me," she said.
"I was homeless with my four children.
"I had so much help from people with rooms and places to stay.
"A lot of those people were strangers.
"I just wanted a way to be able to give back to people and to help others give as well."
She encouraged local people to donate anything they could.
"It could be shoes, or plants, or you might want to give someone a hand with gardening," she said.
"I've personally given away two bags of clothes and a desk I bought recently that didn't fit.
"If everyone gives a little bit it will make the world a better place."
