Bankwest systems across Australia crashed on Sunday afternoon.
Bankwest ATMs and eftpos services across Australia crashed on Sunday, leaving many customers without a means to pay for goods.
As well as Perth customers, customers from as far away as Victoria complained that they had been locked out of the Bankwest system.
A message from the bank on its Facebook page, posted at 2.50pm, apologised to customers for the inconvenience.
"We're aware of a technical issue affecting some of our systems and are investigating as a high priority," it said.
