EMERGING from the ocean is the newest exhibition from local photographer Russell Ord, as the series ‘From the Sea’ finds a home at Jahroc Galleries.
Ord’s work will be on display for two weeks to add to the creative vibe of Margaret River during the third annual Emergence Creative Festival.
The festival aspires to bring together like minded individuals from across the globe in a four day sensory overload.
Ord is one of many local creatives collaborating with the festival, his photographic work on display allowing an audience to view not only the ocean, but the power of Mother Nature itself.
Having lived in Margaret River for more than 12 years, Ord’s work targets the surfing industry, with his creations over the last five years exploding onto the gallery scene, being promoted on an international scale.
"The last few years I've kind of gone away from capturing every single moment, and now I'm just trying to get that one moment that's challenging to myself,” Ord said.
“That means swimming right into the thick of things and seeing what we can do.”
From the Sea runs from March 6-19 at Jahroc Galleries, Margaret River.
