CULLEN Wines' Vanya Cullen has been named as one of Australia’s most influential businesswomen.
Ms Cullen is now in the Australian Businesswomen’s Network Hall 2015 Hall of Fame.
The hall of fame recognises the achievements of 18 female entrepreneurs from industries as diverse as fashion, fitness, manufacturing, travel and agriculture.
The event has been running for 17 years and aims to honour women who are trailblazers in their industries and highlights their business journeys to inspire up-and-coming female entrepreneurs on their path to success.
Ms Cullen has been a part of the winery since 1983.
“It’s my life’s work,” Ms Cullen said.
“I feel very grateful to get that acknowledgement, you don’t ever think of yourself in that way.”
Ms Cullen said she felt privileged to work in an industry she was passionate about and in a beautiful area that let her business flourish alongside other creative industries in the region.
With the twelfth anniversary of her mother’s passing today, the depth of Ms Cullen’s passion was felt even more so.
She said it didn’t change who she was or what she was doing, but the recognition was wonderful.
Ms Cullen now stands alongside women such as Michelle Bridges, founder of Enjo Barb de Corti and Street Swags founder Jean Madden.
Ms Cullen is of one of two inductees from Western Australia amongst 16 others.
